the superhero sales machine
I was talking with an old friend of mine the other day.
Actually he was my boss years ago.
We had a good laugh about that.
Barry reminded me about the trade-shows we did together.
(Selling evaluation services in the insurance industry.)
Boring yes, but Barry was not…
He was mild mannered. Very much a “Clark Kent”.
But put him in selling situation and things changed.
Instant Jekyll and Hyde.
Barry would morph into this superhero sales machine.
His abilities seemed magical. Powerful.
Don’t get me wrong…he worked his butt off.
And he generated 10X more leads then everyone else.
It came down to 3 key things:
He was visible.
He stood out.
He sold himself.
The leads would just come rollin’ in.
I remember a lady telling him 9 times “No thanks”
and he still got an appointment with her.
Incredible. Relentless. Effective.
Barry is an offline wizard. One of the best I’ve worked with.
Here’s the great part for website owners…
The EXACT same principles apply.
Simple lead generation means collecting emails, right?
So you need a nice little newsletter sign-up box.
The BIG problem?
Templates from Aweber and other autoresponders suck.
They look cheap. Unprofessional.
And they DO NOT stand out.
Barry would hate them.
He’d call them second class salesmen.
Your newsletter sign-up MUST sell itself.
Just adding the box is not good enough.
When I land on a site using a “stock” newsletter box
from Aweber…I second guess signing-up.
It just happens without me even thinking about it.
I’m sure many others do the same.
You’re LOSING leads because your sign-up box is ugly.
Hire a programmer to create one. Or do it yourself.
I like option number 2.
Imagine creating professionally designed optin boxes
without an expensive programmer.
Literally just point and click.
Complete control over the design.
And NO coding required.
Your newsletter WILL stand out.
It will be mobile friendly.
And will attract MORE leads.
Plain and simple.
What’s doubling your sign-up rate worth?
My guess is plenty.
Hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars
is being left on the table.
